As autumn deepened and a crisp breeze stirred, the moon was not yet full, but hearts were already united. On September 29, Aidi School invited all students, teachers, and parents to a grand Mid-Autumn celebration called “Chasing Moonlight.”The campus became a living canvas of tradition—lanterns, music, and crafts adorned the paths, waiting to be discovered.
Children in flowing traditional-style robes moved like figures from ancient paintings. Parents joined in, exchanging gestures of respect and sharing quiet moments under the moonlight, echoing the timeless poetry of Zhang Jiuling: “As the bright moon shines over the sea, from far away you share this moment with me.”
A thousand lanterns lit the campus like streets of old China. Painted with motifs and inscribed with verses, they invited students and parents to solve riddles, blending ancient poetry with playful discovery.
At the guqin stage, students and teachers performed in serene harmony, their vibrating strings echoing a sense of peace and prosperity. Nearby, tea served in porcelain cups offered visitors a taste of simple joy. The Lion Dance troupe brought vibrant energy, drums beating, as students recited, “May we all be blessed with longevity,”bridging centuries in a single chant.
On the cuju field, a powerful strike soared through the air, evoking the grace of ancient games. At the archery range, arrows sliced through the sky with precision, while blades flashed in dazzling arcs.
Around the fair, students burst into laughter and applause, their joy echoing through the trees and filling the garden with festive spirit.
Students crafted fans and keepsakes, adorning them with delicate patterns. Each brushstroke and thread carried the spirit of Mid-Autumn Festival, turning creation into a personal connection with tradition.
Beneath the wishing tree, crimson notes fluttered like birds in moonlight. Gentle breezes stirred the ribbons, making thousands of hopes dance together as families captured the moment in photographs.
As evening deepened, ink filled the air with its rich fragrance. Children wrote phrases like “From far away you share this moment with me,”creating treasured mementos of the night.
As the festival drew to a close and lanterns dimmed, robes swayed gently in the breeze, bidding a reluctant farewell.
May the years turn and the moon be full again, and may we meet once more, with pages still carrying the childhood words: “Moon, we meet again, as promised.”
