English Language Center | Break Language Barriers, Build Global Perspectives
2026.09.20

The English Language Center (ELC) helps students overcome language barriers, develop an international perspective, and transition smoothly to international high school, while building a strong foundation for future study and life abroad.

The curriculum applies language acquisition principles and draws on international textbooks to provide a systematic approach to English learning. It covers the four core language skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while integrating subject-specific English across science, mathematics, business, intercultural studies, and physical education. Immersive, context-based instruction moves students beyond exam-focused learning, developing practical language skills, critical thinking, and a global perspective, and enabling them to use English as a tool for learning and communication.

The Center follows a differentiated, student-centered approach, with instruction and learning pace adapted to individual needs. Formative and summative assessments, together with a dynamic level-progression system, track student progress and support continuous improvement. Chinese and international teachers use interactive and inquiry-based approaches to create effective learning environments. A dual support system of academic advisors and dedicated homeroom teachers provides personalized academic planning and pastoral support, while school-family collaboration helps students build confidence in an international learning environment.

The Center welcomes students aged 15 and above who plan to attend an international high school, with flexible entry and rolling admissions. The program accommodates different starting points and learning needs, enabling students to strengthen their language skills, build confidence, and prepare for further study in an international environment.
